I believe that healing is possible no matter how deep the wound. Sometimes all we need to do is take a step of faith into the unknown and enter into a safe space where we can “let go” and learn who we are amidst our pains or struggles. I approach healing from a holistic perspective by addressing how the body, mind and spirit are impacted by our past trauma and wounds. I offer tools for learning how to self-regulate the nervous system, thus allowing the body and mind the freedom to heal. Faith is also important to me, and I welcome the opportunity to integrate a faith-based approach to therapy if you as the client prefer that.
I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and my background is in social work. I have training and experience in EMDR, trauma-informed therapy, women’s issues, chronic health issues, spiritual companioning, gerontology and supporting families who care for their aging parents.
No matter what season of life you are in, there is always an opportunity to learn, grow, heal and move forward. Life is more than surviving. It is about learning how to thrive and re-connect with ourselves and those whom we love and care for as we seek peace and renewal. I am honored to be a part of journeying with others through this process.
